Because I had to cancel the Flintridge show (see previous story), I had to add on one more CDI show in order to ride a Freestyle test to complete the requirements for Gladstone. There is one more CDI show in Pebble Beach (the last one before the finals) but I didn't dare to wait until the last show. You never know: something can always happen....
So I took Taison and Finally all the way to Rancho Murietta. Taison competed in his first Grand Prix and was such a good boy! Not only did I have a good score, but he also did a really good job. He scored several eights and I felt that this was something he was ready for. We rode in two Grand Prixs and he won both.
F

inally won in Prix St. George and Intermediare freestyle. He was fun to ride and is just getting better and better. He has more confidence in the ring, better ride-ability, and soon I think I can ride him in the show ring the way I can ride him in training. It has not been so easy all the time, but I know I do have a super good horse and now I feel he can start to bloom.
It takes the time it takes.
And again, a big Thanks to Anna who is putting her heart and soul into my success. Thanks also to Team Mette: 'Finally Partners' who are always there to support, for good or for bad. Wonderful to have such a fun group of supporters.
One more to go...Always fun!
Mette
